By accessing or using PDFXINET (the "Service") — whether through our website, API, or any associated applications — you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and all policies incorporated by reference including our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
If you do not accept these Terms, you must not use the Service.
PDFXINET provides browser-based and API-accessible tools for processing PDF and document files, including but not limited to: conversion between formats, merging, splitting, compression, watermarking, OCR, electronic signature, AI summarisation, redaction, and form filling. The Service is provided subject to the plan tier you have subscribed to.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service with reasonable notice, except where required otherwise by law.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with our Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP"), which is incorporated into these Terms. Key prohibitions include but are not limited to:
Violation of the AUP may result in immediate account suspension without refund.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation stops future charges. Your paid plan access continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial-period refunds are given on cancellation except as required by law or our Refund Policy.
If a payment fails, we will retry for up to 7 days. If payment cannot be collected, your account will revert to the free tier and access to paid features will be suspended until payment is resolved.
If you are a consumer (not a business) in the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to cancel a subscription within 14 calendar days of purchase (the "cooling-off period") without giving any reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
However, by purchasing a paid plan and immediately using the Service, you expressly consent to performance beginning before the end of the cooling-off period. If you request cancellation during this period after having used the Service, you may be charged a proportionate amount for use prior to cancellation. For a full refund, request cancellation before using any paid features.
EU consumers have equivalent withdrawal rights. The right to withdraw from a digital services contract is lost once performance of the service has begun at your request and you have acknowledged you will lose the right to withdraw.
The digital content and services we provide must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If they do not meet these standards, you may have a statutory right to a remedy (repair, replacement, or price reduction). These statutory rights are not affected by our commercial refund policy.
Before purchasing a paid plan, we provide all information required by the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 Schedule 2, including: total price including taxes, duration and renewal terms, payment arrangements, cancellation rights, and our complaints procedure.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
We do not warrant that: (a) the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free; (b) results of PDF processing will be perfect or meet all requirements; (c) the Service will be compatible with all file types or software versions. PDF processing quality depends on input file quality and the capabilities of the underlying open-source libraries.
Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory consumer rights you have under UK or EU law that cannot be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
These limitations do not apply to: liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (including the Consumer Rights Act 2015).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless XINET IT CONSULTING LTD, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your violation of these Terms; (b) your misuse of the Service; (c) your infringement of any third-party rights; or (d) any content you upload.
The PDFXINET name, logo, website design, software, and all related intellectual property are the exclusive property of XINET IT CONSULTING LTD or its licensors. All rights are reserved.
You may not: (a) use our brand assets without prior written permission; (b) represent yourself as affiliated with or endorsed by PDFXINET; (c) reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of our software.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. This does not affect any mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence that may apply additionally.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also rely on the mandatory laws of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms prevents you from bringing a claim in the courts of your EU member state.
EU consumers may use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
For business users, disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
