How to Organise Your Dashboard File History

PDFXINET Team 2026-10-17 dashboard, folders, tags, starred, trash, pagination, organise

Your Dashboard, Your Way

Every file you process in PDFXINET is saved to your personal file history. As your library grows, the dashboard gives you a full set of organisation and navigation tools so you can always find what you need fast.

Folders

Create colour-coded folders to group related files. Click New Folder in the sidebar, give it a name and a colour, and then move files into it using the overflow menu (⋯ → Move to Folder) or the bulk-move action. Folders appear in the sidebar and show a file count badge. You can rename or delete a folder at any time; files in a deleted folder move back to Unfiled.

Tags

Tags let you apply free-form labels to individual files. Open the overflow menu and choose Edit Tags. Each file can carry up to 10 tags (30 characters each). Tags are visible as coloured badges in the file table and can be used to filter the view using the search bar.

Starring Files

Click the star icon (☆) on any row to mark a file as starred. Starred files are accessible at any time via the Starred link in the sidebar Folders panel — they are not moved or duplicated, just surfaced quickly. Click the filled star (★) to unstar.

Soft Delete and Trash

Deleting a file from the main dashboard sends it to Trash rather than removing it permanently. Files in Trash keep their original filename and size but are hidden from your main history. To recover a file, open Trash and click Restore. To free up storage, click Delete Forever (purge) on individual files, or use Empty Trash to purge everything at once.

Pagination

The file table shows 10 files per page. Page navigation controls appear at the bottom of the table automatically when you have more than 10 files (or more than 10 matching the current search/filter). When there are more than 5 pages a Jump to page input appears for quick navigation. Pagination stays in sync with search, folder, and filter state.

Resizing Columns

Long filenames are truncated by default to keep the table compact. To reveal more of a filename, hover over the right edge of the File column header until the resize cursor (↔) appears, then drag right. You can also resize the Date and Size columns. Your preferred widths are saved in the browser and restored on your next visit.

Bulk Operations

Tick the checkboxes on multiple rows to reveal the bulk action bar at the bottom of the page. From there you can soft-delete, move to a folder, or download all selected files as a ZIP archive (up to 50 files at a time).

Recent Activity

The Recent Activity widget in the sidebar shows your 3 most recent actions. Click More to expand it to the 5 most recent entries without leaving the page.
